New Local Radio Station Brings Fresh Sound to North Somerset, Cheddar Valley, the Levels and Coast.

A brand-new radio station, 100% Whatever Westcountry, has officially launched, bringing a fresh sound to North Somerset, the Cheddar Valley, and the Levels. Broadcasting on 100.5 FM and via smart speakers, the station promises to “talk about Whatever’s Happening in the Westcountry” and “play Whatever songs sound good.”

The station marks the return of local radio to Weston-super-Mare for the first time in a decade, with its new broadcast centre located in the seaside town.

Station Director and weekday morning show host Allan Lake is a familiar name in the world of radio. With 20 years of experience across national and regional stations, Allan also calls Weston-super-Mare home, living in the town with his wife and children.

In a move that sets it apart from other small stations, Allan has chosen to license a professional brand and format from 100 Percent Broadcasting. This ensures the station provides top-tier content while catering to local tastes and interests.
