Bridgwater Carnival

Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival, the largest illuminated carnival in Europe, takes to the streets on Saturday 1 November. There will be live entertainment all day long in the town centre before the parade winds its way along the 1.7 mile route through the streets of the town, culminating in the unique simultaneous squibbing display in the High Street.

First staged in 1881, the carnival is the oldest in the country and attracts thousands of visitors who come to see the amazing, spectacular entries taking part in the parade which takes 2 hours to pass any viewing point.
